Elizabeth Hoke, LMFT

Elizabeth Hoke is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California and Oregon. She lives in Portland, Oregon, on the traditional homeland of the Chinook, Clackamas, and Multnomah peoples. Her relationship to the land shapes how she understands therapeutic work as something deeply contextual, relational, and alive. She is a mother, artist and activist. Care, in her life, is both intimate and ecological—an ongoing practice of tending, attuning, and responding to what is growing. 

Elizabeth’s clinical work is informed by lived experience. As someone who encountered addiction early in life and struggled to sustain recovery within systems that prioritized conformity over belonging, she transmuted her painful experiences to create therapeutic offerings that are guided by relationship and a passion to reconnect clients to their own inner healing intelligence. She is committed to creating non-judgmental containers in her therapy room and in group spaces where individuals are invited to define and share their path on their own terms, free from shame or exclusion. Her therapeutic approach integrates somatic psychology, relational frameworks, and Eastern philosophical traditions, with an emphasis on embodied awareness, self-trust, and personal agency. Across roles and contexts, her work-clinical, communal, and personal, is guided by a commitment to cultivate conditions in which people, families, communities, and the other-than-human world can heal and flourish together.
